Take care of home before impressing the streets.
They say home is where the heart is. I've found this out upon my move back to Cincinnati, OH. My dad was diagnosed with ALS and it was time for me to be a daughter. As the great Drake would say "I'll compromise if I have to, I gotta stay with the family." Well, the compromise of leaving LA and pausing my pursuits in acting were hardly a price to pay in comparison to the great reward of being around my Dad in this time. I plan to include some of our late night talks in what I will call "Morphine Dairies" (He becomes such a chatter box after his evening pills). Stay tuned for more on that.
In my four months living back home I have had a great big stir in my soul to create. I truly believe one should never end a day without creating something. Anything. It was a big ole void in my life and I had to go about filling it in some way. So ALAS the blog is back! And what better way to start off than with some hometown support for a local business? UNheardof is a big name around town and even around the country. They have their own original designs and also carry loads of Nike apparel for Men and Women. I had the lovely opportunity to work with them in launching some of their new products. They put such pride in their business and are always striving to grow and evolve. Their team has their heart in it and I can't respect them enough for their passion in what they do. Be sure to check out their site I linked and follow them on instagram: @unheardofbrand
Also, you were probably wondering if you had your sound turned up, what the podcast was all about. My dear friend and fellow blogger Alexa asked for a hand in her Media Production class project at UC. We grabbed coffee at our favorite cafe, Aromas, and hashed out the good and bad of LA vs. NAti. How great of a job did she do gang?! Check out and support her blog as well, as I anticipate many collaborations and goofiness ahead of us!
