So we all have our demons. Can I get an Amen? Word up? Holla? I am the Queen of false fears. I drink the koolaid to just about any doubt that pops into my mind, and I tend to work my imagination into overdrive, convincing myself of things that are not in my reality. We all have these voices that surround us. Voices of support, criticism, doubt, love... But sometimes it's hard to filter out the good and bad, truth and lies. It's almost like the world (or our own minds) spits out pollution and we ourselves need to figure out a way to filter it. We must put on our gas masks! (Metaphorically or in this case literally). In the bible, the most repeated command is "do not fear". When we worry we assume God is not in control of our lives. Fear prevents us from action, we go nowhere and sit stagnant. Think about this: How does worrying pay off your bills? It cant. But recognizing the concern can light the fire in you to DO SOMETHING about paying your bills: get a job. Your vision leads to your action. If you visualize the worst case scenario, your behavior will follow and your fears will produce life. Just the same, if you visualize a course of action to gain an upper hand on your worries you will find peace. What it really boils down to is the refusal to project pain in our futures. Do not fall to false prophesies of terror in your life. Conquer.
